Race weeks, rallies and art shows that come back every year.
Volusia County’s calendar is built around engines. Daytona International Speedway hosts the Rolex 24 sports car race in January, the Daytona 500 in February and NASCAR’s summer race in late August, and Bike Week and Biketoberfest bring motorcycle riders from around the world each spring and fall. During those weeks, hotel prices rise sharply and roads near the beach and the Speedway are crowded.
The quieter side of the calendar is just as long. Juried art festivals fill the streets of New Smyrna Beach in January, Daytona’s riverfront in November and downtown DeLand the same month, and Orange City celebrates the manatees at Blue Spring each winter. Annual Festivals and Events
A 24-hour endurance race for sports cars that opens the IMSA season, with fans camping in the infield.
A juried outdoor art festival along Riverside Drive and Canal Street, produced by the Atlantic Center for the Arts.
A winter festival in Orange City with exhibits, music and shuttles to see the manatees at Blue Spring State Park.
The season-opening NASCAR Cup race, preceded by more than a week of qualifying and support races.
A ten-day motorcycle rally with concerts, races and vendors on Main Street and across the county.
Pipe bands, Highland games, music and food on the riverfront, run by Ormond Beach MainStreet.
A week of Jeep shows, trail courses and beach cruises that raises money for local charities.
A large hard rock and metal festival held over several days on the Speedway grounds.
The Cup Series’ night race at Daytona, now held late in the summer near the end of the regular season.
The fall motorcycle rally, smaller than Bike Week but still one of the largest in the country.
A juried art show along the downtown riverfront that has run for more than 60 years.
Juried artists, music and food on the streets of downtown DeLand.
A huge classic car show and swap meet in the Speedway infield, held for more than 50 years.

When are hotels hardest to book in Daytona Beach?
During Speedweeks in February, Bike Week in March and Biketoberfest in October. The Rolex 24 in January and the late-summer NASCAR race also fill rooms near the Speedway.
Are there quieter festivals outside race weeks?
Yes. The art festivals in New Smyrna Beach, Daytona and DeLand, the Blue Spring Manatee Festival and the Ormond Beach Celtic Festival are relaxed and family-friendly.
